Sovereign Flame

Privacy policy

Last updated 3 October 2026

We collect only what we need to take your order and send your candle. We do not sell your data.

Who we are

Sovereign Flame is a small UK business and the controller of your personal data. Contact us at sovereignflamecandles@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, delivery address and phone number if you give one, and what you ordered.
  • Payment details: handled by our payment provider Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To take payment, make and deliver your order, and handle returns (performing our contract with you).
  • To keep accounting and tax records (a legal obligation).
  • To answer your questions (our legitimate interest in running the business).

We will only email you about your order or subscription. We will not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions. See Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Our candle maker and couriers receive your name and delivery address so they can make and deliver your order.
  • Our email list provider stores your email address if you join our list, so we can send launch news. You can unsubscribe from any email.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages securely.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Order and accounting records are kept for six years, as UK tax rules require. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email sovereignflamecandles@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
